Join us for a presentation by Erin Rae Hoffer of Autodesk Inc.

Summary:  The shift to building information modeling impacts roles and opportunities for professional service providers. The session will focus on the impact of model-based design and construction on sustainable design (both policy and practice), the move toward collaborative project delivery (including design-build, integrated contracts, and public-private partnerships) and the impact of work process as firms move to adopt new strategies and competencies. Participants will engage in an interactive discussion about the impacts they are seeing in their own work, including evolving client expectations.

Bio:  Erin Rae Hoffer AIA LEED AP BD+C is an architect with Autodesk, a leading provider of software for architecture and engineering. With AEC Solutions at Autodesk, Erin fosters the adoption of innovative approaches to design and practice. Prior to joining Autodesk, she served as Executive Vice-President with the Boston Architectural College (BAC) and served on the board of directors of the Boston Society of Architects as Commissioner of Technology. She led technology and services organizations for Harvard, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Tufts University.  Erin received a Master in Architecture from UCLA, and a Master in Business Administration from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and is a Ph.D. candidate in Sustainable Urban Policy at Northeastern University’s program of Law, Policy and Society. She is registered to practice architecture in California, is a LEED Accredited Professional and member of the AIA and CSI.
